The hotel market intelligence provider TravelClick made the calculation for London hotel occupancy during the Paralympic games, based on current bookings and reservations, and found that it increased by 8.2 per cent compared with the same period of time in the previous year.
During the Olympic period, the average daily rate for hotels in London increased by 55.2 per cent compared with 2011. According to TravelClick, the rise of revenue for hotels was 62.7 per cent during the Olympics. Mostly these results were achieved due to group bookings in London, which showed revenue increase of 398.4% compared to the same period in 2011.
